About

Princeton Longevity Center is a physician-led preventive-medicine and executive-health practice founded in 2002 by David A. Fein, MD. Its core PLC Exam compresses advanced imaging, expanded labs, physician evaluation, nutrition, exercise physiology, and same-day review into one coordinated visit. The model is built for people who want early risk detection, a clear health roadmap, and optional deeper workups in areas such as cancer risk, cardiovascular plaque, genetics, performance, weight management, and cognitive health.

What to Know

Signature approach

Care centers on one coordinated exam day: imaging, labs, physician evaluation, nutrition, exercise physiology, and a same-day review wherever results are ready. PLC caps physicians at three patients per day, so the visit is designed for unhurried interpretation and practical next steps instead of a rushed screening appointment.

What sets them apart

  • Imaging is central, not incidental. The PLC Exam uses cardiac CT, DEXA, and elective advanced imaging as core prevention tools, supported by ACR-accredited radiology partners.
  • Cardiac CT teaching bench. PLC physicians have trained hundreds of cardiologists and radiologists worldwide in Cardiac CT, led by founder David A. Fein, MD and John Rumberger, MD, PhD.
  • Results before you leave. The clinic is built around same-day physician review and a written health roadmap, so the day ends with interpretation, not just data collection.

Before You Book

  • Plan for a full day. Most evaluations take about 6-8 hours on-site, with prep instructions sent ahead of time.
  • Quote the full scope. Ask which imaging, genetic, cancer-screening, follow-up, or corporate-program components are included in your coordinator-built quote.
  • Insurance posture. PLC is primarily self-pay, out of network, and does not accept Medicare. Ask what paperwork is available for possible out-of-network reimbursement or HSA/FSA use.

Pricing

In practiceAdd-ons, payment details, and coverage limits.

PLC uses a custom-quote model rather than public menu pricing. A Patient Care Coordinator prices the PLC Exam around selected add-ons, which may include Full Body CT, Cardiac CTA, virtual colonoscopy, MRI, hereditary cancer panels, or whole-exome sequencing. Expect a premium self-pay experience: PLC is out of network with commercial insurance and does not accept Medicare. Some components may qualify for out-of-network reimbursement, many services may be HSA/FSA eligible, and corporate, spouse, family, or group rates are available by request.

Insurance: Self Pay · HSA/FSA: Eligible

PLC says many services may be HSA/FSA eligible. Confirm eligibility with your plan administrator before booking, especially if the quote includes imaging, genetic testing, or follow-up programs.

Frequently asked questions

How does PLC compare to other longevity clinics?

PLC centers the experience around a full-day, physician-led preventive exam. One coordinated visit can include advanced imaging, expanded labs, physician review, nutrition, exercise physiology, and a written plan, with elective packages for deeper cancer, genetics, cardiovascular, performance, weight, and cognitive workups.

Is everything completed in one visit?

Yes. The comprehensive evaluation is designed as a single full-day visit at a PLC facility, with same-day physician review whenever results are available that day.

Does PLC accept insurance or Medicare?

PLC is out of network with commercial insurance and does not accept Medicare. It operates primarily as a self-pay medical service. Some components may qualify for out-of-network reimbursement under private plans, and Patient Care Coordinators can help patients understand what may be reimbursable.

Are services eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement?

Many services may be HSA/FSA eligible. Patients should confirm eligibility with their plan administrator before booking.

How much does a PLC evaluation cost?

PLC does not publish a fixed price list. A Patient Care Coordinator builds the evaluation around the patient's goals and selected add-ons, then provides an exact quote before booking. Corporate, spouse, family, and group rates are available.

Do I meet with a physician to review results?

Yes. All PLC physicians are board-certified and see no more than three patients per day, allowing unlimited time to review results and answer questions. Where possible, results are reviewed the same day.

How long has PLC been in practice?

PLC was founded in 2002 by David A. Fein, MD and has been operating for over two decades.

Does PLC replace my primary care doctor?

Usually no. PLC is best understood as a high-level preventive evaluation and strategy partner that works alongside existing physicians. A Direct Primary Care elective is available at select locations for patients who want a more integrated relationship.

How often do patients return?

PLC recommends returning annually for the Comprehensive Exam to reassess baseline, track changes, and adjust the wellness plan. Some imaging and tests may be recommended at longer intervals based on age, risk, and findings.

Where is Princeton Longevity Center located?

PLC lists active offices in Princeton, NJ; New York City; Shelton, CT; and Fairfax, VA. Its FAQ also references Miami, FL as coming in summer 2026.
