About

InnerAge 2.0 is InsideTracker’s blood-biomarker biological-age product: a single number summarizing how the body is aging relative to chronological years. The algorithm analyzes 17 biomarkers in males and 13 in females, weights each by its relationship to age in InsideTracker’s dataset, and compares values with age- and sex-matched peer averages. The result includes a biological-age score plus a per-marker breakdown showing which markers are adding to or subtracting from the score.

No clinician consultation is included. InnerAge 2.0 is an algorithmic analysis — biomarker levels are weighted by their known influence on aging and compared against age- and sex-matched peer averages from the InsideTracker dataset to produce a single biological-age number. The accompanying Action Plan is generated by InsideTracker's SegterraX engine and reviewed by the internal science team for evidence quality, not by an individual physician for the user. The report is designed to be shared with the user's personal physician.

What to Know

Signature approach

Blood is drawn at Quest Diagnostics (or via mobile phlebotomist) and processed within 7 business days. The 13 (female) or 17 (male) age-correlated biomarkers — all subsets of the Ultimate panel — are weighted by the strength of their correlation with chronological age, then compared against age- and sex-matched peer averages in InsideTracker's dataset. The output is a biological-age number plus a per-marker breakdown showing which markers are adding or subtracting years. A longevity-focused Action Plan prioritizes food, supplement, exercise, and lifestyle changes against the modifiable biomarkers driving the gap.

What sets it apart

  • Sex-specific panels grounded in correlation data. Most consumer biological-age tests apply a uniform marker set; InnerAge 2.0 runs 17 markers for males and 13 for females, calibrated to the biomarker-to-age correlations that hold within each biological sex in InsideTracker's dataset. hsCRP correlates with male aging but not female; DHEAS and TIBC correlate with female aging — the panels reflect the underlying data. - Two pricing paths anchored on Ultimate. $99 analysis-only for existing Ultimate members (works even after the draw — no second visit needed), or $249 standalone with fresh blood draw and Membership. The lowest-cost biological-age entry point in the InsideTracker stack. - Tightly integrated with the Action Plan. Unlike epigenetic-clock products that return a number, InnerAge sits inside the same dashboard as Ultimate's biomarker readings — every modifiable contributor to the score has lifestyle-modification levers (food, supplement, exercise, sleep) one click away.

Before You Order

  • Two pricing paths. $99 add-on requires an existing Ultimate Plan; $249 standalone bundles Membership and a new blood draw. Existing Ultimate members should add InnerAge from their order page rather than re-buying. - Peer-comparison, not absolute. InnerAge is calibrated against same-age, same-sex peers in InsideTracker's active-population dataset — not against an epigenetic clock or population-wide reference. A user can have all-optimal Ultimate biomarkers and still register an InnerAge above chronological if their values lag the peer average on aging-correlated markers. - Some biomarkers aren't modifiable. Lymphocyte and neutrophil percent contribute to InnerAge but have no actionable recommendations attached — they will move the score without giving you a lever. - Sex-binary panel design. Two panels are keyed to biological sex; the FAQ doesn't address how the system handles transgender, intersex, or non-binary users. - Membership required either way. $99 add-on assumes an active Membership; $249/yr standalone bundles a fresh year. No membership-free path appears to exist. - Geographic friction. NY, NJ, RI, AZ, HI, and Canada residents using the standalone path must add mobile draw (+$119), turning the bundle into $368 HSA/FSA eligible via Truemed for ~30% net savings; otherwise self-pay.

What’s not included

InnerAge 2.0 is not an epigenetic biological-age test — it does not measure DNA methylation (Horvath, GrimAge, DunedinPACE) or glycan composition (GlycanAge). It is built from blood biomarkers that correlate with chronological age in InsideTracker's own active-population dataset. It also does not include comprehensive female hormone testing (Estradiol + Progesterone are an Ultimate add-on, not folded into InnerAge), genetic screening (offered as the separate DNA Kit), cancer screening biomarkers, organ-specific aging clocks, or microbiome sequencing. A clinician consultation is not bundled — the algorithm and Action Plan are AI-generated. A handful of biomarkers in the panel (lymphocyte percent, neutrophil percent are cited examples) are linked to aging but cannot be modified through diet or lifestyle — they will move InnerAge without giving the user an actionable lever.

Reference ranges methodology

InnerAge 2.0 does not use clinical reference ranges. Instead, each biomarker is compared to the age- and sex-matched peer average in InsideTracker's dataset — the distance between the user's value and the peer average drives that marker's contribution to biological age. Each marker is weighted by the strength of its correlation with chronological age in the underlying data: glucose, for example, correlates more strongly with age than GGT and is weighted accordingly. The output is a single biological-age number plus a per-marker breakdown to the nearest tenth of a year, showing which biomarkers are adding to or subtracting from biological age. The model uses machine learning to update reference data as the dataset grows.

How it works

  1. 1

Get started with a blood test

Purchase InnerAge$2 - $99 add-on if you already have an Ultimate Plan, or $249 standalone (includes Membership + blood draw). Schedule a Quest Diagnostics draw, choose mobile blood draw (+$119 required in NY, NJ, RI, AZ, HI, Canada), or select 'Analysis only' to run on uploaded bloodwork.

  2. 2

    Tell us about yourself

Complete a detailed personal profile covering nutrition, exercise, lifestyle preferences, demographics, and goals. The profile shapes how the Action Plan prioritizes recommendations.

  3. 3

    Receive your InnerAge

Within 7 business days of the blood draw, the system analyzes the 13 (female) or 17 (male) age-correlated biomarkers, compares each to age- and sex-matched peer averages, weights by the marker's correlation with aging, and outputs a single InnerAge number plus a per-marker breakdown showing which biomarkers are adding or subtracting years (to the nearest tenth).

  4. 4

Create your plan and take action

Set the dashboard goal to 'InnerAge' and customize the resulting longevity-focused Action Plan — prioritized food, supplement, exercise, and lifestyle recommendations targeted at the modifiable biomarkers most contributing to the gap between InnerAge and chronological age. Sync a wearable (Apple Health, Oura, Fitbit, Garmin) for daily context.

  5. 5

    Check-in and track your progress

Retest every 3-6 months. As lifestyle changes shift biomarker levels, the InnerAge recalculates. Reported outcome: 60% of customers with an InnerAge older than chronological age get younger on their next test.

Frequently asked questions

What is InnerAge 2.0?

InnerAge 2.0 is InsideTracker's blood-biomarker biological-age score. It analyzes 17 biomarkers for males and 13 for females — markers most strongly correlated with chronological age in InsideTracker's dataset — and outputs a single biological-age number plus a per-marker breakdown showing which biomarkers are adding to or subtracting from your biological age (to the nearest tenth of a year).

How does the InnerAge 2.0 algorithm work?

The algorithm compares each of your biomarker levels to the average values of your age- and sex-matched peers in InsideTracker's dataset. Each biomarker is weighted on a scale based on its known correlation with aging — markers with stronger age-correlation (e.g., glucose) carry more weight than those with weaker correlation (e.g., GGT). The result is a biological-age number plus a per-marker contribution breakdown to the nearest tenth of a year.

Why are there 17 biomarkers for men and 13 for women?

The biomarker-to-age correlations differ between biological sexes. For example, hsCRP correlates significantly with chronological age in males but not in females in InsideTracker's dataset, so it's included in the male panel but not the female. The panels were not adjusted to balance the sexes — each was selected for accuracy in its respective biological-sex population.

Can I add InnerAge to an existing Ultimate Plan?

Yes — even if you've already had your Ultimate blood drawn, you can add InnerAge 2.0 analysis for $99 Visit your orders page, find your Ultimate test, and click 'Add InnerAge.' The InnerAge score and longevity-focused Action Plan will appear in your dashboard.

How is InnerAge 2.0 different from an epigenetic biological-age test?

InnerAge 2.0 is built from blood biomarkers, not DNA methylation patterns (Horvath, GrimAge, DunedinPACE) or glycan composition (GlycanAge). It trades the epigenetic precision of methylation tests for actionability — every modifiable biomarker contributing to InnerAge has corresponding food, supplement, exercise, and lifestyle recommendations in the same dashboard.

Why is a biomarker in my Optimal range still increasing my InnerAge?

The Optimal/Needs Work/At Risk zones on the bloodwork page use clinical and peer-reviewed standards calibrated to your age, sex, activity level, and goals. InnerAge 2.0 uses different criteria — peer-comparison against age- and sex-matched users in the InsideTracker dataset, weighted by aging correlation. A biomarker can be clinically optimal while still placing you below the peer average on age-correlated markers, raising your InnerAge.

How often should I retest InnerAge?

Every 3-6 months. As lifestyle changes shift biomarker levels — diet, exercise, supplementation, sleep — the InnerAge recalculates. InsideTracker reports that 60% of customers with an InnerAge older than their chronological age get younger on their next test.

Where do I get my blood drawn?

At any Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Center across all 50 US states. Alternatively, add mobile blood draw at checkout (+$119) and a licensed phlebotomist will visit your home or office. Mobile draw is required in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Arizona, Hawaii, and Canada.

Is InnerAge 2.0 HSA/FSA eligible?

Yes, via the Truemed integration at checkout — eligible US customers can pay with pre-tax HSA or FSA dollars for an average net savings of ~30%. Verify eligibility with your benefits administrator.

Is my data safe?

Yes. InsideTracker is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 Type II certified. Blood, DNA, physiological, and profile data are encrypted, obfuscated, anonymized, and de-identified per industry best practices.
