About

TruAge is TruDiagnostic's flagship biological-age kit. A single at-home dried-blood-spot sample runs through a CLIA-certified methylation lab and returns three academic-partner clocks: OMICmAge for cellular biological age, SYMPHONYAge for 11 organ-system ages, and DunedinPACE for current pace of aging. The same report also includes telomere length, immune-cell estimates, inflammation estimates, FitAge-style performance markers, and lifestyle risk scores. Results post to the portal in 2-4 weeks.

Retail results arrive in the TruDiagnostic customer portal with explanatory report sections and trend tracking. Practitioner-mediated review is available through separate provider channels and is not bundled into the consumer kit.

What to Know

Signature approach

TruAge turns one finger-prick sample into a 1M+ CpG methylation readout. The core idea is repeatable tracking: establish a biological-age and pace-of-aging baseline, then retest after lifestyle, training, nutrition, or treatment changes. The portal keeps prior results visible, so the product is most useful when the user has a clear intervention or comparison period in mind.

What sets it apart

  • Three clocks in one kit. OMICmAge, SYMPHONYAge, and DunedinPACE give cellular age, organ-system ages, and pace of aging from the same sample.
  • At-home blood spot. The sample is easier than a lab draw while staying closer to blood-based methylation science than saliva collection.
  • Research-backed product line. TruDiagnostic's private methylation database, academic collaborations, and clinical-trial pipeline feed the clock and biomarker work behind the retail report.

Before You Order

  • Plan your review. The retail kit includes a portal report, not a bundled physician consult, so decide whether you want to review it with your own clinician.
  • Know the test type. TruAge reads methylation patterns, not inherited SNPs, ancestry, carrier status, or pharmacogenomics.
  • Match the cadence. A one-time kit is useful for a baseline; the four-kit subscription fits quarterly tracking and is US-only.
  • Pair if needed. Use TruHealth or the combo if you want nutrition, toxin, and metabolic biomarker coverage alongside the clocks.

What’s not included

TruAge focuses on methylation-based aging outputs. Nutritional, vitamin, amino-acid, toxin, lipid, and inflammation markers live in the sibling TruHealth kit. SNP-based ancestry, carrier status, pharmacogenomics, and clinician consultation are outside the retail TruAge order.

Reference ranges methodology

TruDiagnostic reports ICC values above 0.98 across its clock suite. Results are computed against each clock's published reference work: OMICmAge from Harvard-linked multi-omic modeling, SYMPHONYAge from Yale organ-system modeling, and DunedinPACE from the Dunedin longitudinal cohort.

The one-time TruAge kit is $499 and includes one portal report. The four-kit annual subscription is $1,799/yr ships all four kits up front, and only makes sense when you want quarterly retesting around an intervention or training block. That subscription is US-only. HSA/FSA eligible; insurance is not accepted. Affirm financing can break the $499/mo kit into about $45/mo at 0% APR. International buyers can order one-time kits where shipping rules allow.

How it works

  1. 1

    Order and activate

Buy the kit online at $499/yr (one-time) or $1,799/yr (4-kit subscription, US only). Activate the kit code in the customer portal when it arrives.

  2. 2

    Finger-prick collection at home

Use the included pain-free lancet to place a few drops of blood on the dried-blood-spot card. No phlebotomy, no fasting, no lab visit.

  3. 3

    Mail back via prepaid FedEx

Drop the sample in the prepaid FedEx return mailer included in the kit.

  4. 4

    Receive results in the portal

TruDiagnostic processes the sample on a 1M+ CpG methylation array. The full report — biological age, pace of aging, 11 organ ages, telomere, immune deconvolution — lands in your portal in 2–4 weeks.

Frequently asked questions

What does TruAge actually measure?

DNA methylation across more than a million CpG sites from a single dried-blood-spot sample. From that array, TruAge derives biological age (OMICmAge), pace of aging (DunedinPACE), 11 organ-system ages (SYMPHONYAge), telomere length, 12-cell immune deconvolution, inflammation estimates, physical-performance scores, and smoking and alcohol impact scores.

How is the sample collected?

At home, by finger prick. The kit includes a pain-free lancet and a dried-blood-spot collection card. No phlebotomy, no lab visit, no fasting requirement. The sample mails back to Lexington in a prepaid FedEx envelope.

How fast are results?

2 to 4 weeks from when the lab receives the sample. The full report — biological age, pace of aging, organ ages, telomere, immune-cell mix, inflammation, fitness, and lifestyle risk scores — lands in the customer portal.

Does TruAge include a physician consultation?

Not as part of the retail kit. The report is delivered via the TruDiagnostic web portal and is structured for self-interpretation. Practitioner-mediated review is available through TruDiagnostic's separate Providers program.

Is TruAge the same as a genetic test?

TruAge measures epigenetics — how DNA is being expressed today — through methylation patterns. SNP-based ancestry, carrier status, and pharmacogenomic data are outside this report. Methylation reflects lifestyle, environment, and aging dynamics; genetic testing reflects inherited variants.

Is it covered by insurance?

Insurance is not accepted. TruAge is HSA/FSA eligible, and Affirm financing is offered at checkout on the $499 kit.
