Danish precision medicine programs with suPAR inflammation scoring, biomarker panels, DEXA, genetics, and physician follow-up

About

Aetas Diagnostics is a Danish precision medicine clinic founded in 2020 and based in Hellerup, north of Copenhagen. Its programs run from Baseline to Health Intelligence and custom Health Concierge, with testing built around blood biomarkers, DEXA, genetic panels, and suPAR®, Aetas's own chronic-inflammation and biological-age marker. Samples are processed through an in-house ISO 15189 molecular lab, and Henrik Nistrup, MD leads the clinical team. More than 2,000 members have used Aetas, with 80% of last year's appointments coming from return visits.

What to Know

Signature approach

Aetas uses a three-part loop: Understanding, Prediction, and Prevention. The first step collects blood biomarkers, physiological measures, genetics, and suPAR. The second turns those results into risk and optimization signals across inflammation, cardiometabolic health, hormones, kidney function, cancer pathways, and nutrition. The third translates the results into a written plan and follow-up cadence, with annual repetition built into the model.

What sets them apart

  • suPAR platform ownership. Aetas owns the suPAR® trademark, runs the assay in its Hellerup lab, and interprets it clinically as part of every program.
  • Lab and clinic together. The in-house ISO 15189 molecular lab gives Aetas more control over sample handling and diagnostic development than clinics that rely only on outside reference labs.
  • Longitudinal member behavior. More than 2,000 members have used Aetas, and 80% of last year's appointments were return visits.

Before You Book

  • Plan for Hellerup. In-person appointments run north of Copenhagen, so international clients should plan travel, lodging, and follow-up timing.
  • Budget in DKK. Programs are self-pay and priced in Danish Kroner. Add-on services such as HRT, TRT, ToxDetect, Nutrition Intelligence, and corporate programs are quoted separately.
  • DEXA logistics. DEXA body-composition scans are handled at a partner clinic, so expect a separate appointment.
  • Language. The website and client experience support Danish and English.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Baseline program include?

58+ blood biomarkers, a physiological exam with ECG and pulmonary function, a DEXA body composition scan, the MTHFR genetic test, the suPAR chronic inflammation score with a six-month follow-up, one doctor consultation, and a written report with recommendations. The clinic visit runs about 30 minutes; the DEXA happens at a partner clinic.

How often should I repeat the program?

Aetas designs Baseline and Health Intelligence for annual repetition. Repeating the program lets the team compare current biomarkers with prior results and adjust the plan year over year.

What is suPAR and why is it central to Aetas?

suPAR is a blood marker tied to chronic inflammation and immune activation. Aetas owns the suPAR trademark, runs the assay in its Hellerup lab, and uses it as a core signal in prevention planning.

Does insurance cover any of this?

No. Aetas is private self-pay care, and Danish public health insurance does not cover these programs. International clients should expect to pay in Danish Kroner.

What languages does the clinic operate in?

Danish and English. The website is bilingual, and the contact flow supports international inquiries.
