About

Tzipi Strauss, MD MPH founded and heads the Sheba Longevity Center while continuing her work as Director of Neonatology and NICU at Sheba Medical Center. She trained in medicine at the Technion, holds public-health training from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and is a professor at Tel Aviv University. Her clinical and research career has focused on early-life determinants of health and lifelong resilience. At Sheba, that life-course perspective becomes a hospital-based adult longevity program with a 12-station assessment, biobanking, and longitudinal research.

What to Know

Signature approach

Strauss brings a life-course model to longevity: resilience is shaped early, measured over time, and supported through prevention before decline becomes obvious. The center she built reflects that thesis through 450+ biomarkers, ten aging domains, biobanking, and a personalized plan that connects an individual visit to Sheba's broader research program.

What sets them apart

  • Founder inside a major hospital. She built the longevity center within Sheba Medical Center rather than as a standalone private clinic.
  • Neonatology leadership. More than 15 years directing Sheba's neonatology and NICU work gives her a rare life-course medical lens.
  • Public-health posture. Her published vision frames longevity medicine as scalable, evidence-based prevention, not only a luxury wellness category.
  • Conference convenor. Co-chairs the annual Sheba Longevity Clinical Conference with medical director Evelyne Bischof, MD PhD.

Before You Book

  • Program role. Strauss founded and heads the center; routine assessment is delivered by the multidisciplinary longevity team.
  • Separate neonatal practice. Her NICU leadership is a different Sheba pathway from the adult longevity program.
  • Eligibility. The longevity program is designed for adults 45-100.
  • Direct access. Ask during intake how founder or leadership review is handled if that matters for your visit.
