About

Miguel Stanley, DDS founded White Clinic in Lisbon in 1999 after implant training with Dennis Tarnow at NYU and postgraduate implant work at the Branemark Centre in Madrid. He built his practice around complex rehabilitation, ceramic implants, biological dentistry, and digital workflows, later publishing on fully digital smile-design and CAD/CAM planning. Outside the chair, he co-founded the Slow Dentistry Global Network, co-founded the Missing Link dental AI platform, serves as Vice President of the Digital Dentistry Society, holds an adjunct associate professorship at UPenn, and sits on the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Innovation Society board.

What to Know

Signature approach

Stanley focuses on complex rehabilitation and revision dentistry for patients whose implants, crowns, bridges, bite, or materials need a full rethink. Planning starts with 3D Cone Beam CT, moves through Digital Smile Design and CAD/CAM workflows, and favors ceramic implants and biocompatible restorations. He also layers photobiomodulation, ozone, and Er:YAG laser into surgical protocols when they support healing.

What sets them apart

  • Visible influence in modern dentistry. Stanley was named to Incisal Edge's 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry and serves as Vice President of the Digital Dentistry Society.
  • Academic and innovation roles. He is an adjunct associate professor at UPenn School of Dentistry, sits on the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Innovation Society board, and co-founded Missing Link for AI-supported dental communication.
  • Public longevity bridge. His TEDx talk, National Geographic documentary, lectures, and podcast center dentistry as part of broader health, with smile design as one part of that larger frame.

Before You Book

  • Choose him for complex cases. Stanley is the right ask for full-mouth rehabilitation, revision dentistry, ceramic implants, and biological dentistry strategy; routine hygiene and smaller cases may route through the broader White Clinic team.
  • Confirm personal availability. His teaching, speaking, and international roles can affect scheduling, so ask which visits he personally handles before planning travel.
  • Plan for multiple appointments. Full-mouth rehabilitation can span diagnostics, surgery, prototypes, final prosthetics, and follow-up over weeks or months.
