About

Craig McGee spent more than 20 years in institutional equities across Europe and Asia, with senior trading roles at UBS Investment Bank, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, and Standard Chartered. He then moved into fintech as Partner at Sherpa Funds Technology, where his work focused on strategy, sales, and business development for tools serving asset managers. Before co-founding Chi Longevity with Professor Andrea B. Maier and Lindsay Cooper, he also co-founded Chi Tree Health, a preventive-health venture built around technology, data analytics, and specialist advice.

What to Know

Signature approach

McGee's contribution is business strategy, venture-building, and category development. His finance and fintech background gives Chi a capital-markets lens on longevity as an investable health category, while his Chi Tree Health work shows that preventive health was already part of his operating thesis before Chi Longevity launched.

What sets them apart

  • Institutional finance depth. Senior desk leadership across UBS, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, and Standard Chartered gives him a different operating background from most wellness founders.
  • Fintech operator pivot. Sherpa Funds Technology placed him in strategy and business development for asset-management infrastructure before healthcare.
  • Preventive-health continuity. Chi Tree Health came before Chi Longevity, showing a longer commitment to data-led health optimisation.
  • Investment-community voice. Milken Institute and Founders Longevity Forum appearances place him in the longevity capital conversation.
