About
Veritas Sydney is a Level 8 Macquarie Street diagnostic suite where the V1-V4 assessments run in one scheduled visit. The model keeps physician consult, DEXA, VO2 max / CPET, spirometry, VALD strength testing, and point-of-care ultrasound close together rather than scattering them across separate appointments. Dr Philip Mathen is the lead physician on site, supported by exercise physiologists and health coaches.

What to Know
Signature approach
The Sydney visit is built as a single assessment block. Clients move from history and exam into DEXA, CPET/VO2 max, spirometry, VALD testing, and any tier-specific ultrasound or metabolic testing, then receive a written report and coaching follow-up. The location is not a drop-in wellness floor; it is an appointment-only diagnostic suite.
What sets them apart
- Assessment-day continuity. The assessment day, physician interpretation, and follow-up all route through the same Macquarie Street clinic.
- Medical-precinct setting. The address sits among long-established specialist consulting rooms rather than wellness retail.
- Testing under one roof. DEXA, CPET/VO2 max, spirometry, VALD testing, and point-of-care ultrasound are part of the same scheduled visit.
Before You Book
- Appointment-only visit. Plan for a scheduled 2- to 4¼-hour block depending on tier; no walk-in model is published.
- Weekday clinic. Google lists Monday-Friday hours and weekends closed.
- CBD logistics. Limited metered parking on Macquarie Street; Hudson House and Parkhouse are closest paid garages, and Martin Place station is about a 6-minute walk.

In practiceAdd-ons, payment details, and coverage limits.
This is an AUD private-pay executive-health model. The published entry point is V4 from A$1,950 for a 2-hour assessment; V3, V2, and V1 are quoted on enquiry as they add audiometry, hormone testing, point-of-care ultrasound, extended VALD testing, faecal occult blood, and resting metabolic rate. Optional mammogram, coronary CT, brain MRI/MRA, chest CT, and abdomen/pelvis MRI are referral-based and separately priced. Medicare/private insurance coverage is not presented as part of the model, so plan for self-pay unless the practice confirms otherwise.
Insurance: Self Pay · HSA/FSA: Not Eligible
HSA/FSA accounts are US-specific and do not apply to an Australian clinic billing in AUD. Treat the assessment as private pay unless Veritas confirms a reimbursable item for your situation.
