Second Prime longevity care, private GP, GLP-1 weight management, diagnostics, therapy, and aesthetics in a CQC-registered clinic

About

GHS Clinics is a CQC-registered private medical centre in Cheltenham, operating from Suite 802 at Eagle Tower. Founder and CEO Claire Richardson created the clinic around Second Prime, a midlife longevity programme built from Audit, Recalibrate, Build, and Sustain stages. The broader clinic adds private GP care, health assessments, GLP-1 weight management, systemic psychotherapy, diagnostics, IV infusions, regenerative aesthetics, and UK-wide online consultations, with advisory input from Dr Andy Griffiths, OBE and Prof Kath Barnard-Kelly, PhD.

What to Know

Signature approach

Care starts with a discovery call that routes the person into the right pathway, clinician, or programme. Second Prime uses a four-stage arc - Audit, Recalibrate, Build, Sustain - with a Brain-Body Inventory and Health Strategy Card to coordinate the plan. Medical, therapy, diagnostic, weight-management, and specialist inputs are designed to sit inside one clinic record instead of forcing the patient to stitch separate services together.

What sets them apart

  • CQC registration. GHS is a regulated private medical centre, giving its longevity and therapy model a formal healthcare-governance frame from launch.
  • Psychology and therapy built in. Systemic psychotherapy, therapeutic services, movement, and dietitian support sit near the medical and longevity pathways, which helps the clinic address behavior, stress, sleep, and relationship context alongside diagnostics.
  • Advisory depth. Dr Andy Griffiths, OBE, FRCA brings NHS and military clinical-governance experience; Prof Kath Barnard-Kelly, PhD brings 220+ peer-reviewed papers in health psychology and chronic-condition behavior.

Before You Book

  • CQC timing: GHS registered in September 2025. The registration is live, but the first inspection rating is still pending.
  • Pricing conversation: Ask for the written scope after discovery: programme tier, diagnostics, clinician visits, therapy, medications, infusions, follow-ups, and any corporate pricing assumptions.
  • Care setting: Hands-on diagnostics, infusions, aesthetics, and clinic visits require Cheltenham; consultations can run online across the UK.
  • Who you see: Some named leaders are founders or advisors. Ask which clinician or therapist will own your pathway day to day.

Pricing

In practiceAdd-ons, payment details, and coverage limits.
  • Discovery first: Pricing is quoted after a discovery call because costs depend on the pathway, clinician mix, diagnostics, and support level.
  • Programme structure: Second Prime has Core, Enhanced, Ultimate, and Reset options; specialist programmes include sleep, menopause, blood pressure, prostate, heart, male vitality, GLP-1 weight management, therapy, IV infusions, and aesthetics.
  • Payment posture: Plan for self-pay. The FAQ says pricing is transparent with no hidden extras, but insurance acceptance is not part of the public model. Corporate clients may qualify for UK tax relief on longevity assessments.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a GP referral?

No. GHS accepts self-referrals through a discovery call, then routes you into the appropriate clinician, therapist, programme, or specialist pathway.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is quoted after discovery. The clinic says costs vary by pathway and support level, with transparent pricing and no hidden extras. Ask for the written scope before committing so diagnostics, therapy, medication, follow-ups, and programme length are clear.

Can I use GHS without travelling to Cheltenham?

Yes for consultations: GHS offers online appointments across the UK. In-person diagnostics, IV infusions, regenerative aesthetics, and clinic-based assessments happen at the Eagle Tower suite in Cheltenham.

How does GLP-1 weight management work with my NHS GP?

GHS describes GLP-1 weight management as a shared-care pathway. The clinic may prescribe Mounjaro or Wegovy where appropriate while coordinating with the patient's NHS GP for ongoing care.

Does GHS offer corporate programmes?

Yes. GHS works with employers on executive health planning, burnout and resilience support, neurodivergence pathways, and Second Prime assessments. Corporate clients may qualify for UK tax relief, with bespoke bulk or subscription pricing.
